Elementary Summer School

DJUSD Elementary Summer School support specific student groups including Migrant, Special Education, and Reading Intervention. This year our Power Up! for Summer program session will be at North Davis Elementary.

Secondary Summer School

The purpose of the DJUSD summer school model is to demonstrate proficient understanding of standards and to remediate missing skill sets or content knowledge in order to support your student in having proficient levels of competency. The format will be 2 two-week sessions, allowing students to recover up to 15 credits.

Students in most classes will be asked to take an assessment to gather information within the first two days of summer school.  They will have the opportunity to demonstrate proficiency to a C level at (or by) the beginning of the second week of summer school. If a student has mastered the course content to a C level AND has attended all of the first five days of summer school classes, they will have the option to take a grade of a C and be released from summer school early.  Students will also have the option to stay the entire length of two weeks and dive deeper into the course material to earn a higher grade.

Daily instruction will be given In-Person for all groups.
