The Battle Against Germs

What are germs? Germs are microscopic bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa that can cause illness. The best way to prevent the spread of germs and illness is washing hands. Germs often enter the body through the mouth, eyes, and nose. They draw energy from the body and damage healthy cells, leaving toxins behind. Germs also activate the body’s immune system, causing things like sneezing, coughing, diarrhea, fever, increased heart rate, even life-threatening illness.
