DJUSD Student Enrollment

Welcome to the Davis Joint Unified School District. We serve about 8,500 students in grades TK-12, at over 16 schools and campuses.

Enrollments for grades 1-12 for the 2020-2021 school year will be accepted starting March 16, 2020.

The District Office is closed due to the COVID-19 virus.  Employees will be working remotely and responding to emails and voicemails daily.  Please check djusd.net for closure updates.

Enrollment packets and Intra-district transfer request forms may be submitted by email to District Enrollment Specialist, Patty Smith at
psmith@djusd.net

The District Office (526 B Street) has a mail slot if you would like to drop off enrollment packets and/or Intra-district transfer forms during the closure.

Enrollment for New Students (Davis Residents ONLY)

New TK-12 students to DJUSD complete steps 1-5 below:
  1.  If you have EVER been enrolled in a DJUSD school prior, please skip to number 3 below

  2.  Never been enrolled in DJUSD?  Complete Pre-Enrollment, SUBMIT and PRINT form (this does not guarantee enrollment)

  3.  Gather DJUSD Required Registration Documents and report to DJUSD District Office at 526 B Street, Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm

  4. Review Additional Information (Immunization requirements, Health Services, etc.)

  5. Complete Online Re-Enrollment once pin/password is assigned (this will recur annually before school begins in the fall)

*DJUSD is experiencing crowded conditions at some school sites.  Although we will be taking your registration and enrollment information, it is important that parents and students are aware that there may not be space for new students at their neighborhood school.  If a school or grade level enrollment exceeds capacity, you will be notified and we will enroll your student at another site.  Please note DJUSD does not provide school buses or other transportation for students.

How do I know at which school to enroll my student?
Students are registered based on the neighborhood boundary school according to your Davis home address.   Visit our School Locator to find your neighborhood boundary school.  Placement in the neighborhood boundary school will depend on space availability in the student's grade level.

NOTE: Changes to school of attendance for some students in Montgomery Elementary boundary
Marguerite Montgomery Elementary (MME) is undergoing program transition. The school continues to expand its Two-Way Bilingual Spanish Immersion program and phase out its English-only classrooms over the course of five school years. For the 2020-21 school year, the English-only program will continue for grades fourth through sixth. If you live in the MME boundary area, have a student in kindergarten, first, second, or third grade, and are seeking an English-only program, you should enroll your student at Pioneer Elementary.

Can my student attend a different school?

Each year families can submit an application to attend a school that is not their neighborhood boundary school. This is referred to as an Intradistrict Transfer. We also have a selection of Choice Schools  that enroll students though a lottery process or an application.
