How to Share Your News

Celebrations happen every day across our District and the Public Information Office is available to work with District staff, students, families and community members to help spread the word. After submitting your news item here we will work with you to find the best way to tell your story.

School News & Celebrations
Ask us to share a story from your school using one or all of our communication tools including website news, social media and our DJUSD Parent Broadcast.

Photography/Multimedia:

If you wish someone from our office might capture visuals from your event, please select this option and we will try to accommodate this request.

Media Advisory:
If there is an upcoming event that you would like the media to know about, please select this option.

How to Make it Easy

(If your event has already happened)

  • Send a brief description/teaser (2-3 sentences)
  • Include the link to more information in your news idea form.  Having a link to more information, helps us direct interested audiences to the details
  • Let us know if you have a photo or relevant image- we will contact you to learn more about that and possibly request access if it is appropriate content for the district to share.

Ideas for good news

  • Student and staff celebrations and accomplishments
  • Unique programs, special projects or school opportunities for students
  • Events of interest to the community
  • Projects, events or achievements that reflect the mission and objectives of our District

Timeline of Requests

The more information we share, the more our community benefits from knowing the positive happenings in our schools.  The Public Information Office wants to meet all requests and offer you the best service. The more advance notice you can provide, the better we can work together to spread the word. When possible, please give us 7-10 business days notice for events and other news.
